Orthodontic Dentistry in Dundrum, Dublin.

Glenville Dental is the longest established dental clinic in Dundrum.  We provides orthodontic treatments and are dedicated to helping you find the best dental treatment plan. Every smile is different, and we are here to help bring out the best in yours. Poorly aligned teeth can cause all sorts of problems that can be fixed by the right orthodontic treatment.  For instance, misaligned teeth can put undue stress on some teeth, while other teeth are hardly used at all. Overbites or under bites can put a strain on your jaw, causing tension and teeth grinding. Crowded teeth, on the other hand, are difficult to clean and can cause a build up of bacteria, leading to further dental health issues. Orthodontic braces use constant, gentle pressure, which over time, guide teeth into their proper alignment, relieving tension and stress and giving you a healthier smile, and boosting confidence in your appearance.

Orthodontics is a specialist category of dentistry. It should only be carried out by a suitably trained and experienced dentist or orthodontist. Orthodontics can make a major difference to a patients overall dental health and their gum condition. It can also greatly enhance a patients confidence by improving their smile. Our orthodontic prices are very competitive, check out our fee guide for more information.

What Our Patients Say

Benefits of Orthodontics

Teeth that are crowded can be more difficult to clean, and larger-than-normal gaps between teeth can cause unnecessary problems, as particles of food and bacteria gather there in greater abundance than in other gaps. Straight teeth are easier to floss, easier to brush, which means that you are less likely to develop issues like tooth decay and gum disease. While improving the appearance of your smile is reason enough to consider orthodontics, braces have benefits far beyond that. Braces can give you a healthier mouth and smile, and boost your confidence.

  • A straight beautiful smile.
  • Straight teeth are easier to clean, and this can reduce decay and gum disease.
  • Greater longevity for your teeth.

Orthodontics For Kids

At Glenville Dental we also provide orthodontics for kids. Orthodontic treatment is best carried out during the adolescent growth phase; typically from 10-13 years for girls and 11-15 years for boys. At this age, kids will have all their adult teeth, and we can begin to detect possible issues such as crooked teeth, overbites, or gaps. Your child’s body is also growing rapidly during this time, and we can take advantage of this change to reshape the appearance and function of their teeth, gently and gradually guiding them into alignment. Orthodontic treatments will not only support the future of their oral health, but greatly boost their self-esteem and confidence. Our expert orthodontic dentist offers a wide range of treatment options for your child or teenager. These include traditional metal braces and retainers, or clear braces.
